Sometimes I don’t know what to do. I know what I should be doing, but for some reason I usually do whatever is opposite to that to not feel pressured. Hehe.
Sometimes I resort to binging The Office or Ted Lasso or a novela. Other times I remember I have huge lists of Watch Later on Youtube, Podcasts/Audiobooks I want to listen to, books to read, etc.
Today, I decided I could read some of those books … or organize which ones I want to still read, I should say. I started going thru my Amazon wishlist and sorted out the books I have ever saved and have been going to each one by one, and the ones that sound intriguing still, I’m reading a sample to see if I want to keep them in my list or not.
After reading a few samples, I came across one that got my attention more than I expected. To the point I’m about to hit purchase to read via the Kindle app because I really enjoyed part of the sample read (I say part because I’m not done reading that sample).
It’s called Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. I linked it here in case you also want to read the sample to confirm if my opinion has any relevance for you, hehe. I am an Amazon affiliate, FYI. So click at your own risk, or if you want nothing to do with that, just search it on a private tab, hehe.
Little summary of the sample is, people write their questions in and this lovely human responds back without sugar coating and with all the intentions to try and give her best advice.
Sounds corny, but I read the sample and the first story in there had me sold, not to mention shed a few tears because I feel this gentleman’s question and fear resonated a bit more than I’d like to admit. Not the saying “I love you” but more because I’m also afraid of loving again. Anywho, it was such a beautiful dialogue and reply, that I’m excited to see the rest of the questions and answers.
I will try and let you know how the rest of the book goes.
Love, Loops.
Xoxo.
